About this exhibition

This is the first exhibition of the new year featuring the work of past Mount Allison Ladies’ College students and instructors, Ethel and Greta Ogden. The Ladies’ College was one of the first schools in Canada where women could receive an art education. The works in this exhibition are stylistically very different; the variety of designs traces a history of Canadian porcelain painting.

The hand-painted china in the exhibition has been graciously donated by Gerda, Joanna and Susannah Parlee all descendants of the Ogdens.
