Two hands hold up a red softcover book. A landscape painting of trees, a field, and a river is in the centre with the title written underneath.

This publication coincides with the exhibition The Art of Place: Paintings by Edward B. Pulford from the Permanent Collection held at the Owens Art Gallery from 27 April to 22 August 1997.

Pulford was, for so many years, closely associated with Mount Allison University and made such a significant contribution as an artist and teacher. The exhibition acted as a tribute to his life-long devotion to art, manifested in these personal, evocative representations of the landscape which so completely absorbed him.
