This publication coincides with an atlantic tour of Ray Fenwick’s performance sereis Le Moat Juice organized by the Owens Art Gallery from February – March 2016.
Le Moat Juice was a group of short, inter-related performance works somewhere between experimental comedy and performance art. The pieces that comprise Le Moat Juice focus with an absurd intensity on (mostly failed) attempts to communicate with others, with one’s self and with the divine.
Ray Fenwick is an interdisciplinary artist working with sound, video, typography, painting, and performance. The drive of his practice is, as he puts it, “to give language the floor” through initiating alternative relationships with language and the voice.
