The Play Atelier is a new addition to programming for young audiences at the Owens. You can visit it during any Make Something Sunday, where it extends opportunities for families to engage in open-ended, sensory and creative play. At the heart of this pop-up space is a light cube that functions as a stage for experiments with colour and light. Various changing materials will offer new and unexpected avenues for playful exploration.
The Play Atelier will feature in Family Sensory Friendly Hours beginning in 2025, and select programming for preschool and early elementary children.
Funding for Play Atelier was received from the Strategic Initiatives Fund (Art Wellness Component) of the New Brunswick Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture.
