This poster coincided with the exhibition John Hammond, held at the Owens from 24 November 2002 to 12 January 2003.

The exhibition was devoted to the life and art of Sackville artist John Hammond (1843-1939), a significant figure in the history of art and art education at Mount Allison University and in the larger community. Hammond was Head of the Fine Arts Department for 30 years. The exhibition was been researched and organized by Fredette Frame and Jane Tisdale, in collaboration with the Mount Allison University Archives. It was part of a larger, community-wide celebration of John Hammond’s life and art organized by the Sackville Historic Sites Committee and Renaissance Sackville. Produced with the financial assistance of the Marjorie Young Bell Fine Arts and Music Fund, Mount Allison University.
