This publication coincides with the exhibition, Garry Neill Kennedy: Superstar Shadow held at the Owens Art Gallery from 7 November to 14 December 2008.

This exhibition documents 15 past installations by Halifax artist Garry Neill Kennedy of his paint on wall works using the font “superstar shadow” to spell out text floor to ceiling.

The publication includes a foreword by Brian Meehan and essays by Diana Nemiroff, Jeffrey Spalding, Stephen Horne, Roald Nasgaard, Robin Metcalfe, Jen Budney, Roger Bywater, John Goodwin, Martin Barlosky, Sherri Irvin, Gemey Kelly, Susie Major, Lelah Ferguson, Melanie Townsend, Ray Cronin and Peter Dykhuis.
