This publication coincides with the Exhibition of Quilts held at the Owens Art Gallery from 5 to 26 April 1970.

Organized by the Sackville Art Association and the Owens Art Gallery, this exhibition is the second of its kind. It is an appreciation and tribute to the art form of quilting which does not often get the recognition it deserves.

This publication includes an introduction by D. S. Fensom, a short history of quilts, and a list of works featured in the exhibition.
