Two hands hold up a black softcover book with the words "Ethel Ogden" printed in small capitalized gold letters in the centre.

This publication coincides with the exhibition Ethel Ogden held at the Owens Art Gallery from 16 November to 3 January 1999.

Ethel Ogden attended the Mount Allison Ladies’ College and the Owens Art Institution in Saint John, New Brunswick, where she studied with John Hammond before beginning her own teaching career. Her oeuvre includes still life, landscape and portraiture, as well as hand-painted porcelain, a popular art form in the late nineteenth century.
