This publication coincides with the exhibition Dennis Gill: Snakes & Objects held at the Owens Art Gallery from 22 September to 22 October 2000.

The exhibition presented eight new works of sculpture by Dennis Gill, six of which were sited outdoors on the University grounds. The exhibition also documents two important permanent installations in Jolicure and Sackville.
