This publication coincides with the exhibition Castings: New Works by Deborah Margo held at the Owens Art Gallery from September 16 to October 25 2006.

Although the works selected for this exhibition are unique projects with their own particular context and atmosphere, they may also be considered “casts” of larger, frequently ongoing investigations. This is in keeping with Margo’s creative practice, which is at once systematically restrained and open to the generous variations of chance.
