This publication coincides with the exhibition David Kramer: Heaven on Earth held at the Owens Art Gallery from 19 October to 9 December 2001.

David Kramer, masquerading as the archetypal “loser”, produces tongue-in-cheek installations featuring the cast-off and pathetic. On further contemplation, Kramer’s quick-take humour reveals a darker side–one that questions our society’s love affair with the superficial.
