Two hands hold up a softcover book. The cover is white with delicate beaded fragments of leaves, plant roots and petals. The title is written in bold purple letters.

This publication coincides with the exhibition carrie allison: wâhkôhtowin held at the Owens Art Gallery from 7 June to 14 August 2019. wâhkôhtowin is the Cree word for “kinship” or “the way in which we relate to each other.” For artist Carrie Allison, this concept serves as an artistic methodology and guiding principle.

The publication includes a foreword by Emily Falvey and essay by Carmen Robertson.

Two hands hold open a book. There is an image of a beaded artwork of a plant on each page. They have long, delicate stems with little petals at the tips and thin roots at the ends.
