This publication coincides with the exhibition Atque Ars: Art from Mount Allison University 1854-1989 held at the Owens Art Gallery from 30 September to 31 October 1989.

This exhibition was organized to celebrate 150 years of Mount Allison University. It documents the development of Fine Arts throughout this period and its influence on the University and artists in Maritimes.
