Two hands hold up a pamphlet. An illustration of the Owens Art Gallery, a long stone building with a tree in the front lawn, settles at the bottom of the cover.

This publication coincides with the exhibition Art Speaks: TransCanada 3, held at the Owens from 16 July to 30 August 2009.

This exhibition was presented in conjunction with the international conference TransCanada 3: Literature, Institutions, Citizenship. The exhibition features the work of Jack Butler, Herménégilde Chiasson, and R.S. Pennee, whose artworks offer viewers a wide range of considerations related to the conference themes.

Two hands hold open an accordion style pamphlet, revealing three panels. Two panels contain descriptions of three artworks by three artists and corresponding artist biographies.
