This publication coincides with the exhibition Through the Eye of the Needle curated by Ya-Ling Huang and held at the Owens Art Gallery from 19 March to 18 April 2004.
The exhibition covers ten years of production, from 1994 to 2004, and offers insight into the rich and diverse range of formal and conceptual issues in Anna Torma’s art. Using imagery of dragons, Torma creates a collage which examines the importance of her family, the struggle as an immigrant, the love for gardening, the beauty of everyday life, and the wastefulness in our modern world.
