Looking Out
While Alex Colville looked out at his dog in the yard, Gershon Iskowitz looked out of an airplane, Edward Burtynsky studied the Yangtze dam, Lawren P. Harris admired stones on a beach, Léo Leblanc contemplated his grazing horses, Glenn Adams looked out across the Montreal skyline, Dan Steeves watched a University football game and Garry Kennedy pondered perceived colours of the marsh.
Selected from the Owens Art Gallery Collection, the works in this exhibition all incorporate the outdoor environment in some way. The artists considered specific aspects of the landscape in order to enhance their ideas.
