Slow Art Study Break: Chill, snack, linger with art
Take a break as the Owens becomes the SL(OW)ENS for the afternoon. We’re pulling out our bean bag chairs, setting out snacks and making space to linger with art.
Enjoy chill tunes, zines about slowness and self-care, low-key drawing invitations, and a stroll through our galleries.
Come on your own or with a friend and stay as long as you like. Treat yourself to an espresso or cup of tea, a sweet or salty snack, and take time with art.
This special program coincides with the end of classes and the beginning of exams as an antidote to the pressures of the end of term. Slow Art Study Break is designed for Mount Allison students during the exam period to highlight the importance of art in wellbeing. #slowens
The Owens is open throughout the exam period. Stop by anytime for a quiet moment in our exhibitions or sink into one of our comfy chairs to browse our Teeny Tiny Zine Library. Sensory resources, including a variety of fidgets, are available to borrow during your visit.
