of a feather: Book Launch and Poetry Reading

Photographs by Thaddeus Holownia join poetry by Harry Thurston in the new book ‘of a feather’, their third collaboration of book projects about birds. The 21 photographs and 21 poems are published in memory of Gay Hansen, teacher, naturalist, ornithologist, collaborator, and late partner of Holownia.

Gay was a lecturer and lab instructor at Mount Allison for 39 years. She was also a talented craftsperson and weaver, combining her love of birds and skill in taxidermy to create a collection of study mounts, which inspired the photographs and poems in ‘of a feather’.

Organized as a part of Mount Allison University’s Alumni Reunion Weekend.
