Make Something Sunday: See-Through Sketchbooks
Draw in a sketchbook of translucent pages and play with the ways your drawings can shift and layer to reveal new and surprising arrangements. Experiment with colour and line and try out some stencils too.
Make Something Sunday is a monthly program that introduces new materials and new ways of working through informal hands-on artmaking workshops for kids 12 and under and their adults.
Drop-in for half an hour or stay for two. No booking required. This program is offered free of charge.
The Play Atelier
The Play Atelier extends Make Something Sunday with opportunities for families to engage in open-ended, sensory and creative play. At the heart of this pop-up space is a light cube that functions as a stage for experiments with colour and light. Various changing materials will offer new and unexpected avenues for playful exploration.
The Little Library
Extend your visit to the Owens with our Little Library, a small portable library featuring an expanding collection of art books for young readers. The books in the Little Library spark conversations about art, observation, and creativity. The Little Library is available during any visit to the Owens.
