Make Something Sunday: Extraordinary Books
Fold and cut playful page shapes to create a book bursting with colour and surprises. What will you discover as you peek through the pages?
Make Something Sunday is a monthly program that introduces new materials and ways of making art through informal hands-on workshops for kids 12 and under and their grownups.
Drop-in for half an hour or stay for two. No booking required. This program is offered free of charge.
The Play Atelier
Complementing Make Something Sunday is our Play Atelier, a pop-up space that extends opportunities for families to engage in open-ended, sensory and creative play. At the heart of the Play Atelier is a light cube that functions as a stage for experiments with colour and light. Various changing materials offer new and unexpected avenues for playful exploration.
The Little Library
Extend your visit to the Owens with our Little Library, a small portable library featuring an expanding collection of art books for young readers. The books in the Little Library spark conversations about art, observation, and creativity. The Little Library is available during any visit to the Owens.
Art Kits
You might also want to try out one of our in-gallery Art Kits designed to connect kids ages 2-12 twelve to our current exhibitions.
Community programs like Make Something Sundays are made possible thanks to core funding from the Municipality of Tantramar and the New Brunswick Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture.
