Craft-Up: An exam-time art break series
During the exam period, the Owens invites students to three craft-filled afternoons. Take a break between study sessions to join friends for chill, no-experience-necessary art making. Stop in for half an hour or hang out for the whole afternoon.
Thursday, December 9: Needle Felting
Experiencing the de-stressing effect of this satisfying artform while you transform tufts of soft wool roving into sweet ornaments or accessories.
Monday, December 13: Hand-stitched Patches
Loose yourself in the rhythm of hand-stitching as you create patches and other small objects with embroidery floss and felt.
Wednesday, December 15: DIY Stickers
Get playful with colour as you cut and layer glossy vinyl to make one-of-a-kind stickers to customize water bottles, binders, car bumpers, and more.
The Owens is open throughout the exam period. Stop by anytime for a quiet moment in our exhibitions or sink into one of our comfy chairs to browse our Teeny Tiny Zine Library, which will be on view from December 9-17.
Craft-Up is designed for Mount Allison students during the exam period as a way of recognizing the importance of art in wellbeing.
Masks and proof of vaccination are required to visit the Owens.
