Since Valentine’s Day 1999, Struts Gallery and the Owens Art Gallery have worked together to present The Sweetest Little Thing, a beloved annual fundraiser and community event.
This year, The Sweetest Little Thing will once again take place entirely online, with an online auction accompanied by a Virtual Variety Show featuring musical performances from Wolf Castle, Shotgun Jimmie, Keeper E., Colleen Coco Collins and appearances from artists, community members, and friends of the Owens, including Melanie Colosimo, Wit López, Emily Critch, Miranda Bellamy and Amanda Fauteux—plus a few other surprises for good measure! This year’s musical performances are sponsored by Sappyfest, and Sackville residents are invited to buy raffle tickets for an epic cake donated by Cranewood on Main Bakery and Café. Emceed by Geordie Miller and Tori Weldon, and directed by Matt Tunnacliffe, SLT 2022 promises to be just as warm and fuzzy as last year’s event.
As you look forward to seeing your Sackville friends, take a moment to listen to the 2022 Sweetest Little Thing Jingle, written this year by Shotgun Jimmie and featuring Chad VanGaalen and Julie Doiron, and let Madeleine Hansen’s graphics and poster design put you in the mood to dress up!
