Motyer-Fancy Theatre, Purdy Crawford Centre for the Arts, Mount Allison University
Organized by The Pierre Lassonde School of Fine Arts
In this presentation, Jackson 2Bears will speak about his current art practice and studio work, focusing on new projects centered on building land-based AI ecologies. Drawing on work developed through the OTEKH Laband the Abundant Intelligences network, he will discuss how these projects emerge through collaborative studio practice, fieldwork, and community engagement. The talk will feature recent works using ceramics, environmental sensing, and immersive media, and reflect on how Indigenous-led approaches are shaping new ways of working with new technologies in ways connected to language and traditional teachings.
